Juban Festival

An anticipated festival in sorsogon is the Gujuban Festival of Juban. Gujuban means groove or etch with a sharp instrument while others believed that the name Gujub comes from name of a juice extracted from a certain tree growing in the locality. Juban, Sorsogon is very rich in culture and tradition. Structure here serve as mirrors o the past which can be seen in the way they preserved the old houses( bahay na bato) built along maharlika highway. Juban was derived from the local dialect "GUHUB" which means extracting sap from the trunk of a Milipili tree.

Jeremy H. Hamor I-Alpha "SeaWall"         Ang seawall ay isa sa ipinagmamalaki ng bayan ng Juban. Ito'y matatagpuan sa pagitan ng Baranggay Embarcadero at Baranggay Tughan. Ito'y ginawa sa layuning madagdagan ang mga magagandang lugar dito sa Juban na maaaring puntahan ng mga tao. Ang lugar na ito ay angkop sa mga taong nais makatakas o makaalis sa hirap ng problemang kanilang kinakaharap. Sa lugar na ito'y maari kang mag pahinga, mag lakad lakad, tumakbo at mag bisiklita kasama ng iyong buong pamilya o kaibigan. Pwede ka dito kumuha ng litrato sa mga magagandang tanawin katulad na lamang ng Bulusan Vocano. Kung nais mo na puntahan ang lugar na ito ang tamang oras na pumunta ay sa pagitan ng lima hanggang pitong oras ng umaga at apat hanggang anim na oras ng hapon sapagkat maaari mo makita ang ganda ng pag lubog ng aram at marami ang maaari mong makita na ibon sa mga oras na iyon.
